CBY Teens will
be hosting workshops at Stand By Me 2012! For the third year in a row, CBY teens will provide
workshops at Stand By Me on May 18, 2012. Seventh grade students and their
parents engaged in interactive, fast-paced sessions that bring assets alive and introduce attendees to this unique organization.
Most recent big event: Lurgio's Got Talent Show! Friday, February 17, 2012 This second annual event organized
and executed by CBY teens brought over 325 attendees to watch and encourage 7th and 8th grade students exhibit their talents.
A wonderful fun-filled positive evening was had by all! CBY teens and adults
volunteered at New Horizons Food Pantry on November 19, 2011 to help get ready for Thanksgiving. Another wonderful volunteer
outreach! CBY
teens presented information about CBY at a workshop during the national Big Tent Conference in Houston,
TX on November 18, 2010! They shared with participating youth and adults how CBY works and provided education as to how to develop positive assets within their
own groups. This was an outstanding opportunity for our students, and they provided a wonderful interactive session in addition
to a positive presence throughout their travels and stay in Houston.
CBY teens
recognized with "Youth in Action Award" from New Futures! October 13, 2010 our CBYers were honored at a reception in Manchester as part of New Futures' 12th
Annual Leadership Recognition and Awards Celebration for the State and local levels! CBY members received a plaque in recognition
of their contributions.

Our
mission is to support the well-being of Bedford youth by promoting community strategies that develop assets in children. Assets
are the protective characteristics that have been linked by extensive research to enhancing resistance to at-risk behaviors.
